I know I made a promise to post more frequently, but but I have been unable to live up to that. I still have a huge catalog of concert recordings to go through, so there will be more posts. I hope more frequently than once every four or five months.
Calvin Wazoo is simply a moniker I created for this blog. The blog's title comes from an article by Ted Templeton originally printed in MUSIC Magazine on July 2, 1987. A link to the article in wiki jawaka can be found below.
I've been a Frank Zappa fan since I was 10 years old. This blog represents my impressions, thoughts, reactions, and even criticisms of Zappa's work. I used to have nearly his entire catalog on vinyl, but those days are gone. I've only seen him twice in concert; once while I was in high school on April 28, 1974 when I saw him perform at the Ferris State College field house in Big Rapids, Mich., and the second time Oct. 10, 1980, for the second show in Main Auditorium at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
I hope you enjoy my entries. My inclusion of a link to another Zappa site should not be construed as an endorsement of that site, or that I consider its content accurate. I present them for your information only. The blog roll on the left side, however, are links I like.
I'm a content director for a television company, guiding content on Web sites. I'm an avid listener of Frank Zappa and a practicing Buddhist who follows the Theravada vehicle. I'm an insatiable traveler who calls Chicago home.
Remember, whenever surfing music sites, if you find something you like, buy it. Support musicians, and besides, the sound quality is better when you buy!
